Why you should have your home tested for radon.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in the ground that is colourless, odourless, and poses a serious health risk to Canadians. That’s why it’s so important to have your home tested for radon. It’s the only way to ensure the safety of your home and family.

ClimateCare is the largest network of certified radon detection and mitigation experts in Canada. Our professionals have been trained and certified through the National Environmental Health Association’s National Radon Proficiency Program.

You can trust our trained and qualified experts to accurately test your home for elevated levels of radon and, if necessary, recommend the best way to mitigate unsafe levels to ensure clean, healthy air in your home.

We have conducted several successful mitigation procedures in the past two years. Our customers are quite satisfied and happy knowing that they are living in a healthier environment. The photos at the top of the page show how we are able to draw radon from below a basement floor using the home’s sump pit. If needed, we seal all cracks and holes in the basement floor where radon can leak. We then perform a smoke test to ensure that we have sealed the floor enough that we can create a negative pressure with the new, quiet and efficient radon exhaust fan. The fan is piped into a sealed chamber over top of the sump pit and exhausted out the sidewall of the basement.
