In March of 2020, Ryan Goulet’s life changed forever. He was diagnosed with ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease. This disease can progress quickly and Ryan was in need of a wheel chair accessible ramp in his home, as well as an accessible shower to be able to sit down in, and a few other renovations to create ease and comfort during this time.
To make this renovation possible, The Handy Bros Heroes contacted various contractors and pulled a few strings to make this renovation absolutely free of cost to the Goulet family. They were all put up in a motel for the week so they could give their house the complete wheel chair accessible makeover it needed.
In one week’s time, our entire Handy Bros staff lent a hand in one way or another to make this project possible. In addition, we had countless members of our community step up to volunteer their time, money, and support. It was such a blessing to play some small part in making life a little easier for this great family.
