UCC’s Annual Halloween Canned Food Drive – Supporting Outreach for Hunger
Halloween in Chatham-Kent isn’t just about costumes and candy—it’s about community and compassion, too.
Every year on Halloween night, students from Ursuline College Chatham (UCC) take part in their Annual Canned Food Drive, and instead of collecting sweets, they go door-to-door gathering non-perishable food items for our local food bank, Outreach for Hunger.
It’s a tradition that speaks volumes about the spirit of our youth—choosing to give back when most are out trick-or-treating. This amazing initiative helps restock the shelves at Outreach for Hunger, supporting families right here in CK who rely on its services throughout the year.
At Handy Bros., we’re always inspired by efforts like these that turn simple moments into meaningful action. A big shoutout to the students, staff, and community members who continue to make this annual event such a success!
Well done, UCC—your kindness truly makes a difference.
